If your womb could speak, what would she say?

If your womb could speak, she wouldn’t whisper.

She would roar.

Like the wind across the machair on a stormy day.

Or the waves crashing on ancient rocks.

Like the deep pulse of the earth herself.

Not in anger. In remembering.

She would say:

“I have never left you.

Even when you abandoned me for busy schedules, seeking perfection, and proving you’re enough.

I’ve bled through winters so you could finally rest.

I’ve stirred with raw desire when you let yourself feel alive again.

I’ve ached and contracted to help you release everything that was never yours to carry.

I’ve waited, steady as the tide, while you searched for home in all the wrong places.

I am not something to fix, silence, or override.

I am your wild compass.

Your raw life force.

Your most honest guide back to the land – and back to yourself.”

This is the voice I hear when a woman steps barefoot onto the sand or moors with me.

When she stops posing and starts feeling.

When her hands land on her belly and her shoulders drop.

When the mask cracks open and the wild woman underneath finally breathes.

In my embodiment sessions, we don’t chase perfection.

We chase presence.

We let the wind tangle your hair, the sea spray kiss your skin, the earth hold you while you remember.

Your body is not a project.

It is a landscape – untamed, cyclical, powerful.

Your womb knows the rhythms of the moon and the seasons even when your mind forgets.

She feels the pull of the tides in your blood.

She whispers “slow down” when the world screams “push harder.”

Right now she’s asking you one fierce question:

Will you come home to me – out here, in the wild?

A simple practice for you today:

Place one hand on your lower belly.

Breathe deep into that space – the same way the wind moves through the heather.

Ask her, out loud if you can: “What do you want me to know right now?”

Listen. Write the first raw words that come. No editing.

That’s her voice. That’s you.

If this stirred something deep in your bones, I’d love to hold space for you in the landscape.

My embodiment sessions are not photoshoots.

They are reckonings. Homecomings. Raw reunions with your wild nature.

We work with your cycle, your body, and the raw beauty of the Outer Hebrides.

Comment back the word WOMB and I’ll send you all the details on my sessions and any upcoming women’s embodiment circles.

You were never meant to live disconnected from her.

The land and your body have been waiting.

With wild love,

Maureen Du Preez
